Magnificent Macedonia - 9 days

Macedonia Bike Tours

A partially self-guided or fully guided 9 day bike tour in Macedonia

  • A bike tour in Macedonia is the perfect solution to the problem of over tourism in mainstream Europe. This country remains one of Europe’s last undiscovered areas. Tucked away in a corner of Southeast Europe, Macedonia is a country with idyllic natural surroundings. Your bike tour in Macedonia begins with a transfer from Skopje International Airport to the city center, a perfect introduction to this multi-faceted country with its layers of history. Crossing the River Vardar via the 15th century Stone Bridge, you will enter an area dominated by a massive fortress. Stretching underneath is the old Turkish bazaar. In its bustling cobblestone alleys, you will find ancient mosques, former baths that have been converted into art galleries, and tiny shops selling intricate silver filigree jewelry made by local craftsmen.

    Highlights:

    • Quirky Skopje
    • Lunch at a local home
    • Negotino - city of grapes and wine
    • Kruševo and the traditional architecture
    • Bitola's bustling Sirok Sokak street
    • Otesevo, on the shores of Lake Prespa
    • Monastery of St. Naum
    • Ohrid and the Lake
    • Rich history, great food, world-renowned wine, and great people!
